This is my first post as a full-time teacher!! Pinterest has connected me to SOO many awesome teacher blogs, that I HAD to start my own! I'm hoping that I can join the educational community, and share my experiences as a teacher, as well as my materials.
Something I love about teaching the youngins, is their truth and perception. They are not afraid to say what is on their minds...I was walking with one of my Kindergartners in the hallway. He looks up to me, while holding my hand and says, "Mrs. Hardin. You are really nice to kids..." That was it. Nothing more, nothing less. But, warmed my heart, and put the biggest smile on my face. Their truth reminds me of why I want to be a teacher. They are little miracles waiting to happen...we need to remember that each child IS a miracle, and they deserve to be treated as if they could do anything. And, they can. Let's not give up on our little munchkins, but guide them in their journey to success. I came across this quote that really hit home to what have been thinking lately.
"A child is...a butterfly in the wind.
Some can fly higher than others;
but each one flies the best it can.
Why compare one against the other?
Each one is different!
Each one is special!
Each one is beautiful!"

I will carry this with me as I walk the halls of my school, and meet so many more munchkins that need the support to believe in themselves. :) Until next time, happy teaching!
